For the first time in the fairly short history of the Dominican Cohiba Spectre line, this year’s Toro will come in a Brazilian wrapper that brand owner General Cigar Co. says was harvested in 2008. In addition to the vintage wrapper, the box has been made with a hydraulic press system that dramatically elevates the tubed cigars.
The limited-edition Cohiba Spectre 2022 Toro (the concept was developed last year) is the fourth release under the Cohiba Spectre series, a line of cigars known for intricate packaging and high price tags. The original Cohiba Spectre was introduced in 2018. Subsequent releases saw a rise in price, and changing blends, as each Spectre is made with a different variety of tobaccos.
